I did a study on light and dark principles using the Japanese style of notan, and created the sketches in pencil, but then uploaded them to Adobe Photoshop and increased the contrast to make them clearer.

For this final product, I used black paper and an x-acto knife to cut out my most successful design and glue it onto a white paper background. I photographed it and uploaded it to Adobe Photoshop to clean up the shadows.
