Majoring in Animation at Grand Canyon University, Alexis Haas is an avid painter and outdoors enthusiast. Before pursuing her lifelong passion for art, Alexis completed an Associate’s degree in Computer Science at EMCC, which she attended with a full ride merit-based scholarship. During her time there, Alexis completed several complex technical projects such as building and programming a word clock, creating an interactive touchable painting that played music, building a functional speaker from a wood box and electronic parts, and making her own hanging wall PC from scratch. Despite those achievements, Alexis finds her true fulfillment in creating art that tells a story. These days, when she isn’t in class mastering the art of animation, Alexis spends her time in nature finding inspiration for her next works.
